When you take a multi-million dollar check from a VC, they’re really only looking for 1 of 2 outcomes. This can cause some very strange behavior in the future.
This month’s Founder Spotlight highlights James Chang, Co-Founder of Frenzy AI, revolutionizing eCommerce with AI-driven first-party data insights.
Working in the Fashion Industry, I saw that eCommerce websites with even small inventories of ~50 products had to deal with lots of manual processes and that led to lower sales. We wanted to build a more sophisticated and dynamic merchandising solution that leverages the latest machine-learning to drive more sales with less effort. Frenzy AI has undergone some pretty dramatic changes, at first we tried to work with all ecommerce software, now we focus exclusively on Shopify customers.
I met my technical cofounder through a mutual friend while he was contracting for IBM. Having worked with different cofounders in the past, he is the best partner you could ask for in every aspect.
We used Ash’s templates to do cold outreach for our first customers.
Don’t fall in love with your product. Fall in love with solving your customer’s problem instead.
Balancing growth and profitability while continuing to refine PMF. You can’t always rely on investors, so building a profitable business is hard but essential.
